The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Ishola Balogun-Fulani and Secretary, Chief Bode Adekanye who were abducted have been released.
The Trent learnt that the men regained their freedom on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Balogun- Fulani and Adekanye were kidnapped on Friday night while returning to Ilorin from Abuja. Thier abductors made a demand for ransom of N50 million on Friday after they had allowed the APC chiefs to speak with their family members.
It is not known if the ransom was paid before their release.
The Kwara State governor. Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed confirmed their release on his Twitter handle.
He tweeted:
