I am just reading that my former state Governor, Gabriel Torwua Suswam, is suing my state for N100 million. I normally try not to comment on this particular person for my own reasons having to do with not wanting to tick God off with ungodly utterances and language concerning one of His creatures.
Today, I can’t keep quiet. After 8 years of his brand of governance, he left a dirtier, worse off state, owed salaries, promoted thuggery to a new level, did not pay teachers for months, had primary schools closed for months, refused to visit his own people when they were displaced and God only knows how many people died and how many families were impoverished because of delayed salaries, delayed pensions, etc. My aged mother’s pension has not been paid for months.
I have it on good authority that a particular young woman went to him for help and he said he would not help her unless she slept with him. And we all looked the other way. For whatever reason. Some of us were getting contracts. Some had jobs.
I hope whatever we got for keeping quiet about evil was worth the price we are paying now. Which is why people like him continue to use the system set up for good to pervert and even laugh in the face of justice and those they’re literally killing.
My prayer for this man, his supporters and those of his ilk is this: that God show them the same mercy they have shown to those they governed. Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. And if you have benefited from this guy’s largesse one way or the other, please do not call me to talk about this post.
Call my mom and other pensioners and share the largesse alike. Payday, someday.
