Two men identified as Monday Ehikwe and Godwin Chukwueku Okwuoseh, were arrested after they were allegedly caught in homosexual act in Agbor Alidinma, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports, the duo were alleged to be cousins were caught on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 by the vigilante group attached to the community in an uncompleted building in the area.
Enraged community members stripped the duo naked and beat them to pulp before they were handed over to the Okpala, the spiritual head of Agbor-Alidinma and his council of chiefs who subsequently handed them over to the Chief Priest of the village shrine for spiritual cleaning and administration of first step traditional oath on them.
It was gathered that the two men were fined the sum of N25,000 each and mandated to return to the shrine on a later date in January, 2016, with one native cow, with 36 native chalks, 50 cola nuts, two red cloths each and 20 tuber of yams, for final traditional bath.
