Minister of Youth and Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung called for a meeting with Nigerian Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick and his rival in the controversial NFF elections which took place in 2014.
Amaju Pinnick won the NFF election which took place in Warri, Delta state on September 30, 2014. Prior to that election, another election which was largely boycotted had taken place on August 26, 2014 and Chris Green had emerged winner.
Both parties were at war following the elections but it appeared all was fine when both CAF and FIFA recognized Pinnick as the president of the NFF. Giwa also withdrew his case from a Jos court as Nigeria risked being suspended by FIFA.
The meeting called by sports minister , Dalung to initiate a peace move reopened old wounds and resulted in a fight when as both Giwa and Pinnick used unprintable words on each other and even got physical.

The fight which lasted for about five minutes was resolved by the minister who then announced that the meeting will reconvene next week Wednesday.
A female journalist, Nneka Ikem was in attendance at the meeting and shared some interesting tweets:
