Super Eagles midfielder and vice captain, Ogenyi Onazi has recently been linked to a premier league move as Welsh side, Swansea appear to be interested in the Lazio man.
The 23-year-old has not enjoyed enough playing time at Lazio recently and his agent, Stephen Makinwa has confirmed that his client and compatriot won’t mind leaving Italy so as to get more playing time. Makinwa who also played for the Nigerian national team and Lazio however admitted that Onazi would find it hard to leave Lazio as he loves Rome.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Makinwa had this to say:
“The situation hasn’t changed much.
“He’s a valuable player, it’s normal to have a lot of interest. We’re considering things, there still isn’t a concrete offer.
“He’s tied to the environment in Rome, but he’s young and wants to play and have space, like all footballers.
“He wants to stay in the Nigeria team, he wants to do well: he’d like to do it with Lazio, but if that’s not possible then it’s better to try with a different team.”
